ONEX Corporation has announced Dave Kelly as the head of ONEX’s wealth management platform and one of Canada’s leading wealth management companies, Gluskin Chef. Kelly has extensive experience in Canada’s private funding industry, and his leadership and operational expertise will help strengthen and broaden ONEX’s platform.
“Gluskin is competitively different in the chef market, being one of the only firms to provide clients with access to alternative investment and wealth planning solutions,” Bobby Le Blanc, president of Onex, said in a statement. “Dave’s experience in building strong operational functions to support high quality, growing private wealth businesses is a strong asset to our business, team and clients. We are in a good position to grow in duration.”
Kelly is taking over from Jeff Moody, who is resigning as CEO and has been named vice president of Gluskin Chef. He remains on the investment committee of the platform.
