Manulife named global head of real estate, private markets
Manulife Investing Management’s private markets offerings have provided clients with investment options for decades. With a total AUM of US$ 59.2 billion as of December 31, 2021, it has created a holistic private market business that provides solutions to investors in timber, agriculture, real estate equity, infrastructure equity and private equity and credit.
The organization’s global real estate equity portfolio totals 64 million square feet of office, industrial, multi-family residential and retail space strategically located in the Canadian, United States and Asia markets.
“Mark’s experience in real estate portfolio strategy and his strong analytical approach will be essential to expanding the competencies of the global team as they meet the demands for sustainability and return from investors,” Schumacher said. “We are excited to have them on board and feel their expertise will allow for aggressive growth in the real estate platform for our clients.”
Feliciano moves to ManuLife Investment Management from DWS, where he was CIO of Real Estate, Americas, as well as Head of Portfolio and Asset Management for the Real Estate Americas business. He also headed the Debt Investment Group for America. He has nearly 30 years of real estate investment management expertise in both the public and private sectors.
Feliciano graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting with a focus on finance.
