Employees will have 30 days to adjust to routines and adopt new work priorities agreed with their managers.
“Reaching this level allows us to fully open up our facilities to employees, visitors and guests,” says Chris Caposella, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “We are pleased to welcome more employees to join other area businesses in the coming weeks.”
high vaccination rate
Capossela says the COVID-19 situation in the region and community vaccination rates are among the top factors Microsoft considered in determining whether workplaces are ready to fully open.
He noted that as of Feb. 8,83.8 percent of eligible King County residents — where the majority of Washington state employees live — have completed their vaccine series, and 91.6 percent have received at least one dose.
“These high vaccination rates, along with declining hospitalizations and deaths in the state, are part of what has enabled us to move into this phase of our hybrid work journey. In addition, we ensure that established local testing solutions are in place and we stick to all government guidance for businesses like ours,” says Caposella.
