Will Bitcoin Pay Work for Top-Paid NFL Stars?
To find out, a new report from Action Network examined how much the highest-paid NFL stars earned — or lost — from investing in various cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, during the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons.
From the dollar cost average of their weekly salary for that period, the analysis calculated how much money elite stars would be able to accumulate at the time, as well as how much they would have today if they chose to stay invested.
In the case of the top five richest American football players – Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Deshan Watson, and Russell Wilson – the decision to take their weekly paychecks in bitcoin will work great in 2020-2021:
