Firms unveil fund changes to increase access to investors

Prior to that date, until the close of business on May 5, 2022, the consolidated chain will be closed to new investors.
Reflecting the move by Franklin Templeton, Manulife Investment Management has announced reduction of management fees on seven of its mutual fund products, effective March 1.
The lower management fee is expected to translate into a corresponding reduction in the fund’s management expense ratio.
“We work relentlessly to ensure that our funds are priced competitively and are providing value to our clients. A recent review of our lineup has highlighted our mutual fund asset allocation portfolio and certain products including select Global Balanced Funds. but identified an opportunity to increase our pricing attractiveness.” Yannick Chagnon, head of investment products at Canada’s Manulife Investment Management, said in a statement.
