BMO unveils new real asset fund
Meanwhile, the BMO Brookfield Global Renewables Infrastructure Fund targets long-term growth and earnings by investing primarily in global renewable and sustainable infrastructure firms, with a focus on the wind and solar, clean power, clean technology and water sustainability sectors.
“We are excited to partner with Brookfield Public Securities Group LLC to offer two new mandates as both a mutual fund and an ETF series,” said Kevin Gopal, president of ETFs at BMO Global Asset Management. Infrastructure and real estate tech are specialized exposures that capture two important trends in the market and can help investors build better portfolios.”
Both the funds are available as mutual funds with Series A, F, F (Hedged), I, Advisor Series and Advisor Series (Hedged) units. They are also available as ETFs on the TSX, with the ticker symbol TOWR for the MO Brookfield Global Real Estate Tech Fund and GRNI for the BMO Brookfield Global Renewables Infrastructure Fund.
David Levy, CEO of Brookfield Public Securities Group, said, “We are delighted to partner with BMO Global Asset Management and combine Brookfield’s listed real assets expertise with BMO’s commitment to delivering client-first, innovative solutions.”
TOWR and GRNI have been involved in 11 ETF filings from the BMO ETF since earlier this year, which included a climate-focused ETF, sustained income innovation and a comprehensive asset allocation ETF suite.
